Ministers of music, worship pastors, church music teachers, and even a few pastors from Kentucky Baptist churches comprise the Kentucky Baptist Men's Chorale. This all-male chorus was formed in 1965 by Kentucky Baptists' first state music director, Eugene Quinn. It has a musical and spiritual legacy from hundreds of music ministers.
The chorale has appeared before the Southern Baptist Church Music Conference, Church Music Week at LifeWay's Ridgecrest Conference Center, and at Musicians on Mission workshops in Ohio and Massachusetts. The group also has toured in Europe and served on mission in New England, Kenya, Brazil, and Russia. Most recently, the chorale spent a week in the rainforests of Brazil doing missions work and performing.
The Kentucky Baptist Wind Orchestra is comprised of ministers of music and instrumentalists from Kentucky Baptist churches. This group was organized to promote and model the use of instrumental ensembles in the local church. The ensemble rehearses and performs in conjunction with the Kentucky Baptist Men's and Women's chorales.
Stay tuned for the 2020-2021 season coming soon.
