Mike & Sarah Embry

Mike and Sarah are empty nesters who followed God’s call to serve as part of the International Orphan Care Team in Kenya. The team is educating U.S. and Kenyan churches about “redefining orphan care” and how God’s best design for children is safe and loving families – not institutions. They equip churches in Kenya to restore families by empowering biological parents, extended families, or foster families to care for the children – while simultaneously sharing the love of Jesus. They are also working with U.S. churches and orphanages to help them understand how to transition from institutional care to safe, healthy models of family and community-based care that strengthen and empower whole families.
