Dr. Cory Bledsoe joined the Kentucky Baptist Convention team in 2024 and serves as the Mobilization and Community Ministry Associate. His greatest joy in ministry leadership is helping individuals, organizations and churches find the right places to serve, and aid in equipping them, so they can exercise the gifts and talents the Lord has given them to further the mission and, thus, fulfill the Great Commission. Further, he appreciates opportunities to speak publicly on a wide range of topics including organizational/ministry leadership, missions and evangelism, as well as preaching and teaching God’s Word in the local church. Prior to joining the team at the Kentucky Baptist Convention, Cory served for over 15 years among two organizations serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Louisville, KY, most recently for nine years as the Executive Director of Re:Center Ministries. Cory holds a master’s degree in Theological Studies from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, a master’s degree in Business Communication, with an emphasis in nonprofit leadership, from Spalding University, and a doctorate (Ed.D.) in Organizational Management from Oakland City University. He and his wife, Sarah, have been married since 2009 and have three children Hannah, Micah, and Delilah. Cory enjoys traveling to new places, meeting new people, spending time with his family and enjoying sports as well as the outdoors.
How Cory helps churches:
Cory serves churches by collaborating in the development and promotion of strategies, resources and systems to assist in the advancement of gospel focused community ministries. Further, he provides leadership to statewide initiatives, such as Christmas Backpacks, to aid in mobilizing churches to creatively and collaboratively meet practical needs while providing evangelistic opportunities. Cory will also provide leadership to the Kentucky Mission Service Corp (KY-MSC) missionary strategies through the promoting, recruiting, training, encouraging and assisting with missionary placement, as well as assisting KBC affiliated ministry centers with mobilizing volunteers and securing much needed supplies to serve their respective communities. Cory welcomes the opportunity to serve your church, association or ministry in whatever capacity you may need.
