On Kentucky Gives Day, Sunrise Children’s Services will have a direct online connection to people who want to help abused and neglected children throughout the Commonwealth. Sunrise is asking donors to give $10 and ask 10 friends to do likewise on Tuesday, May 24.
Sunrise Children’s Services, the state’s oldest child services organization, protects more than 1,000 neglected, abused, and abandoned children each day from damaging, even life-threatening situations. The nonprofit agency’s objective is to raise $10,000 on Kentucky Gives Day to help provide for the Commonwealth’s most vulnerable children.
Organized by the Kentucky Nonprofit Network, Kentucky Gives Day is an innovative online fundraising event that encourages Kentuckians to donate in support of their favorite participating charities through a single website. From midnight to 11:59 p.m. on May 24, Kentuckians can connect with Sunrise through https://kygives.razoo.com/us/story/Sunrise-Childrens-Services and make direct, tax-deductible donations to support the services Sunrise provides to hurting children and families statewide.
“Sunrise makes a difference every day by providing care for abused and neglected children throughout our state,” said Dale Suttles, president of Sunrise Children’s Services. “We are ready to partner with other nonprofits to see how much we can collectively raise to serve our communities.”
