Vicky Woodcock
Vicky Woodcock, a ministry assistant at the Kentucky Baptist Convention, died on Friday, July 8.
She worked for the KBC for 10 years and was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church in Louisville.
“Vicky Woodcock was a valued member of the KBC staff…. She was very dedicated to her work,” Jim Donnell, associate executive director for Kentucky Baptist Convention operations, said.
Donnell continued, “Vicky especially loved serving Kentucky Baptists. Her skills were particularly called upon during a several year period when we were without a director in the Worship and Music department when Vicky essentially ran this area of work. A lesser individual would have wilted under this pressure, but Vicky met this challenge head on.
“Kentucky Baptists were fortunate to have had Vicky’s services,” he added.
Steve Rice, her KBC supervisor, said, “(Woodcock) was an extremely hard worker as well as an extremely happy worker! She will be greatly missed as a loyal KBC staff member, but even more as a friend.”
She is survived by her husband, daughter and son, mother, sisters and numerous other family and friends. Funeral services were held July 13 at Lakewood Baptist Church. (WR)
