LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Kevin Smith, the newly elected president of the Kentucky Baptist Convention, has selected a new slate of committee chairmen to serve through next year.
Smith, teaching pastor at Highview Baptist Church in Louisville, was elected KBC president Nov. 10 at the 176th KBC Annual Meeting.
The Kentucky Baptist Convention committees chairs are:
– Ron Andrew, Committee on Credentials, pastor at Elk Spring Valley Baptist Church in Monticello.
– Joe Bufford, Committee on Committees, pastor at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Hopkinsville.
– Travis Kaiser, Committee on the Annual Meeting, teaching pastor at Florence Baptist Church at Mt. Zion in Florence.
– Mark Maynard, Committee on Constitution & Bylaws, member of Unity Baptist Church in Ashland.
– Paul Strahan, Committee on Nominations, pastor at First Baptist Church of Owensboro.
– Tommy Tapscott, Committee on Resolutions, associate pastor at First Baptist Church of East Bernstadt.
– Neal Thornton, Committee on Public Affairs, pastor at First Baptist Church of Mount Vernon.
