CRESTWOOD—The Closet of Crestwood Baptist Church saw 18 people accepted Christ in 2014. Crestwood will baptize 15 of them on Jan. 4.
FRANKLIN—Wyman Copass, pastor for 11 years of the Calvary Baptist Church in Franklin has announced plans to retire from the pastorate. His last Sunday at Calvary will be Jan. 4, 2015. Copass spent 58 years serving churches in Kentucky, Nebraska and Florida. He served as pastor of Farmdale in Louisville, Yellow Creek in Owensboro, Hillvue Heights in Bowling Green, as well as six other churches. In denominational work, he served as president of the state pastor’s conference and as a member of the KBC Executive Committee. He served on the SBC Radio & Television Commission’s Board of Trustees and was its chairman for two years. He will continue to reside in Bowling Green and will be open for supply preaching.
