John & Shaughanessy Morris

In 2001, John & Shaughanessy were appointed by the North American Mission Board. Since 2013 John has served as Executive Director, and Shaughanessy as Media Designer, at God’s Appalachian Partnership (GAP). As missionaries at GAP, their heart is to meet people at their point of need so they may know Jesus. They do that through a wide range of ministries such as food distribution, home repairs, educational classes, dental ministry, and Bible studies.
Kentucky Connections
John & Shaughanessy were sent from Big Creek Church in Hazard, where he was ordained. They both grew up in Perry County and after marrying, felt called to reach their home region of eastern Kentucky with the gospel.
