I am a father of 5 great kids and grandfather of 3 who are not close enough! My main “job description” is to be a high school Resource teacher. That means that kids who struggle with executive functioning skills (time management, planning, etc) come to me during study hall – usually 2 – 3 times per week – and I help them prioritize and schedule their work.
Outside my office, I co-host a weekly Bible study for 10th-grade boys, drive dorm boys to church on Sunday, and work in the church AV department during the live services.
My Kentucky connection was relatively brief, but it has continued to be an integral part of ministry here. I attended Gano Baptist Church in Georgetown. During that time, I was a co-teacher of a men’s SS class, participated in the prayer tent ministry (street corners of Georgetown on Saturday mornings), helped facilitate a men’s Thursday night Bible study group, and substituted in the sound booth. I also earned an MA in Biblical Studies from University of the Cumberlands while in Georgetown.
