Ephesians 3:7-13 reads, “… (O)f which I was made a minister, according to the gift of God’s grace which was given to me according to the working of His power. To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ, and to bring to light what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God who created all things; so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places. This was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him…”
This is the time for New Year’s resolutions. Many resolutions will be forgotten before January ends.
God, though, has called us, as His children, to share His message of grace, mercy, love and forgiveness to everyone we come across. This is a resolution to keep daily.
God called Paul as a minister, and even in His calling it’s according to His grace. God has called us, too, because we are His representatives and He lives in us through His Holy Spirit. What a privilege, the same privilege He gave to Paul to share Him and to share about all of His (boundless, fathomless and exhaustless) riches of Christ.
As we share, we shine His light in the darkness of this lost world. It’s our opportunity to share with everyone God’s plan, through Christ, to set all mankind free from sin and death. We, as believers, are His church. His church is not a building, but it’s made up of all of His children.
One last thing, because of our relationship with Christ, and all that Christ has done, we can come to God’s throne of grace and mercy with boldness, confidence and complete freedom, without any fear, because He receives us as His own.
This is a message worth sharing, and a resolution that’s worth keeping.
