Tessa Redmond joined Kentucky Today as Life Issues Reporter in 2021. She considers it joy to write stories that keep Kentucky Baptists informed about the dynamic landscape of abortion, adoption and foster care in the bluegrass state. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication, and minors in Bible and Worship, from Cedarville University. Before coming to the Kentucky Baptist Convention’s news source, Tessa worked as a public relations writer for her alma mater and a freelance journalist & opinion contributor for Kentucky Today. Tessa lives in Taylorsville, Kentucky with her husband Michael, who is pursuing a M.A. in Biblical Counseling from SBTS and serves First Baptist Church Taylorsville as Associate Pastor of Students & Worship. Together, they are passionate about discipling the middle and high school students in their church to know the Lord, love Him wholeheartedly and make Him known.
