Does Kentucky really need more churches?
Realizing that on any given Sunday more than 3.8 million Kentuckians will not be found attending any kind of church anywhere, we are reminded why the Great Commission as expressed in Acts 1:8 is not an “either or” but a “both and” calling. We are empowered and commissioned to be His witnesses “both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” (KJV). This missional mandate is what compels us to cooperate as Kentucky Baptists.
Likewise, while praying and laboring that revival might spread across Kentucky in such a way that every church experiences revitalization, impacting lostness also mandates the multiplication of more and a greater diversity of churches.
