Student Kendra McNeeley is one of our local students from just across the Tennessee/Kentucky state line in Lafollette, Tenn. Although she started her educational journey at a local university, she is thankful for the Lord directing her to Clear Creek. Her story continues …
“I have particularly loved all of my Bible classes so far here at Clear Creek,” said McNeeley. “There are often times when I am studying the Bible and I may not have a clue what is going on. Then, I can go to class and, through the help of my professors and the Holy Spirit, it all comes together and makes sense. When that light goes on, I get the biggest smile on my face and rest in the magnificence of Scripture and the splendor of our Creator.”
“Being in ministry and serving God and others is one of the most rewarding things that you will ever do with your life,” said McNeeley. “Sure, there will be hard times that life throws your way and the enemy will be relentless, but the joys and blessings of serving God and others far outweigh life’s struggles.
“Clear Creek is a great place to grow in your faith, your relationship with God, and your future ministry,” she said. “You may be scared, not knowing what is going to happen or who you may meet. You may not even know exactly what God is calling you to do; all that you know is that He has called you. But that’s okay.
“God has called each and every one of us to go out and love Him and love people. You may think that someone else is better equipped to go out to the mission fields, be pastor of a church, or simply go out and talk to people on the street,” McNeely added. “I want you to know that God knows exactly what He is doing, even when we do not.
“The great thing about learning all of this at Clear Creek is that you have a loving family all around you, and this family will be with you throughout the rest of your life. They are there to pray with you and for you, to lift you up, to talk, laugh, and even cry with,” she said.
“There is nothing better than a ministry focused, God loving family—and that is what Clear Creek is.”
