Elizabethtown– Tom James began his last day as president of the Kentucky Baptist Convention by announcing his appointments to the convention’s Committee on Committees.
James’s appointments to the KBC’s Committee on Committees are pastors Ian Carrico, Travis Drake and Rob Patterson.
Carrico is pastor of Beulah Baptist Church in Fancy Farm, from West Kentucky Baptist Association in Region 1.
Drake is pastor of Central Baptist Church in Winchester, from Boone’s Creek Baptist Association in Region 6.
Patterson is the discipleship and missions pastor at Immanuel Baptist Church in Corbin, from South Union-Mount Zion Baptist Association in Region 7.
The new appointees’ terms will end in 2018. The responsibility of the nine-member committee is to make nominations for all of the KBC’s permanent committees.
Other committee members are Joe Bufford (Region 2, Christian County Baptist Association), Richard Carwile (Region 4, Nelson Baptist Association), George Drake (Region 8, Red River Baptist Association), Donnie Patrick (Region 5, Oldham-Trimble Baptist Association), Wes Pinkley (Region 3, Salem Baptist Association), and Jamaal Williams (Region 4, Long Run Baptist Association).
Ex officio members are KBC Executive Director Paul Chitwood and the convention president. (KBC)
