Many of our students who come to our campus end up here because of the impact our alumni have had on them. New student Wesley Russell is thankful for the impact that Clear Creek alumni have had on his life and ministry.
“I came to know Christ at Oak Grove Baptist Church #2 in 2010,” said Russell. “Clear Creak alumnus Bill Meece sat down with me and showed me what the Bible said about sin and what God did to save me from my sin. It was on that July evening at church that I started my relationship with Jesus Christ and made Him Lord of my life.”
“The first time I felt that the Lord was calling me to ministry was when I was 15 years old,” said Russell. “It wasn’t until I was 19 that I ended up surrendering to that call God had placed on my life. During the four years of dealing with my call, I observed many of my mentors who had graduated from Clear Creek.
“Doug Saunders, Eric Douglas, Bill Meece, and Jonathan Grizzell. Tony Hall and Jonathan Grizzell talked and counseled with me on my decision,” he continued. “Brother Tony Hall really helped with my deciding process. Praying for me always, talking, and just showing me what his work consisted of really gave me a passion for what Clear Creek was all about.
“My experience so far at Clear Creek has been nothing short of amazing. The atmosphere of brotherly love is what I love so much,” Russell said. “When attending Clear Creek you have an amazing opportunity to grow, more so than any other institution. We have the opportunity to work one-on-one with our professors and get to know them not only professionally, but personally.
“Also, the classes that are offered here are top notch. As far as equipping goes I am convinced that there is no better place to prepare yourself for kingdom work,” added Russell.
“When you come to Clear Creek, expect to get a world class education at an underpriced cost,” said Russell. “Clear Creek has preserved the conservative interpretation of the Bible and stresses a rightly divided Scripture. You will be loved, appreciated, used and equipped for what God has called you to do.
“When you come to Clear Creek, you get much more than a school you get a family.”
