On March 31-April 1, the Eliza Broadus Offering for State Missions will not only be at work, but will be on display. You are invited to join us for the 2017 Kentucky WMU Missions Celebration and Annual Meeting at Central Baptist Church in Corbin where the impact of EBO will be evident.
This year’s meeting will feature an Eastern Kentucky Missions Extravaganza with a number of our Kentucky missionaries sharing about their ministries. You will be able to experience their work through interactive activities. You can get on the BREAKTime Ministry bus and experience what children learn through this Bible teaching ministry.
Visit with Robin Reeves and make a Pocket Prayer Quilt. Pack a backpack with Keith Decker and learn about our newest statewide missions project, Christmas Backpacks. Experience a foot washing and how the Freedom Center provides shoes to people in need. Pack a sack of love (food) for children with Kentucky Sacks of Love or engage in a typical children’s activity with God’s Appalachian Partnership.
There will be many other ministries to visit as well as a number of missions conferences. In addition, the Program/Book of Reports for our meeting also includes a listing of this year’s EBO grant recipients and the allocations for the 2017-18 offering. See where your offerings are being used across our state.
The importance of your giving through the Eliza Broadus Offering for State Missions will be reflected in our WMU staff report. Each of our staff members will be sharing in 100 words or less what your giving through the Cooperative Program, EBO, and the Kentucky WMU Heritage Fund helps them to do in missions.
On Saturday, come congratulate the Kentucky Missionary of the Year Award winner and help us commission our newest Kentucky missionaries. Come hear a Sunrise Children’s Services testimony and enjoy the talent of the Oneida Baptist Institute Choir.
While EBO is at the forefront, our meeting will also include international missions and missions in North America. Katie Orr, a remarkable Bible study leader and author, will share Bible study theme interpretations in each session.
Our theme is “By All Means.” Join us. You will be inspired to pray, give, and go to share Jesus By All Means.
