LOUISVILLE — Church planting is a challenging journey, and the faithful who are called do not have to go at it alone.
The Kentucky Baptist Convention is offering Basic Training Journey for Church Planters in Lexington, Ky., on May 26-27. The two-day event, hosted by Central Kentucky Network of Baptists, welcomes current and potential church planters, their spouses, as well as lay leaders and directors of missions.
“We invite anyone interested in learning more about church planting and how the KBC can assist planters, churches and associations in planting or replanting healthy, sustainable churches to attend this informative training,” said KBC Church Planting Strategist Carlos De la Barra.
Church planters can get assistance with defining a vision, mapping a strategy, and communicating with sponsors.
De la Barra said as Kentucky Baptist church planters, participants can become part of an established network and receive encouragement and prayer support. The Kentucky Baptist Convention also offers personal assessment tools, one-on-one consultations and financial assistance for partner church plants.
Basic Training Journey for Church Planters is provided at no cost thanks to Kentucky Baptists’ generous Cooperative Program gifts. To register for this event, visit www.kybaptist.org/btj. (KBC)
