LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Kentucky Baptist churches have access to several new videos that celebrate lives changed through the Cooperative Program.

The short clips feature people who came to know Christ through ministries supported through the Cooperative Program, including a Kentucky high schooler saved during summer camp at Crossings and a college student introduced to Jesus through Baptist Collegiate Ministries.

Those videos are available online for churches to use in worship services year-round, but, because October is Cooperative Program awareness month, there’s no time like now.

Each October, Kentucky Baptists emphasize the importance of the Cooperative Program in effectively reaching people with the gospel at home and abroad.

Through the Cooperative Program, 2,400 Kentucky congregations work together to support state, national and international missionaries and ministries.

During the last fiscal year, which ended Aug. 31, Kentucky churches gave more than $22.3 million through the Cooperative Program, topping the previous year’s gifts by $1 million.

“Kentucky Baptists refuse to sit silently by when multitudes of people here at home and abroad desperately need the gospel,” said KBC Executive Director Paul Chitwood.

The Southern Baptist Convention-wide Cooperative Program Emphasis continues through Oct. 31.
