Madisonville–Dr. Paul Chitwood, executive director-treasurer of the Kentucky Baptist Convention, will be the featured speaker at The Family Foundation of Kentucky’s 25th Anniversary Celebration on Monday, Oct. 5.
The celebration is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Grapevine Baptist Church, 85 Sandcut Road, Madisonville. Attendance is free.
Chitwood will speak on the topic “Responsible Christian Citizenship: What does the Bible say?” according to Kent Ostrander, executive director of the foundation.
“We are living in a critical time that requires us to be ‘salt and Light,'” says Ostrander. “Kindly invite others to hear Dr. Chitwood’s message and allow them to become familiar with the work of The Family Foundation.”
The program will also include updates the case of Kim Davis, the Rowan County Clerk whose battle for religious liberty/freedom of conscience has dominated headlines locally and internationally for the past several months.
