LOUISVILLE—Evangelism consultant Don McCutcheon believes he has the key to unlocking the potential found in Kentucky’s churches and impacting communities with the gospel.

Through his extended training course, McCutcheon said more than half of Florida Baptist churches saw a noticeable increase in baptisms and retention of new converts, and 40 percent doubled in less than two years.

The Kentucky Baptist Convention invited McCutcheon, a former evangelism director with the Florida Baptist and North Carolina Baptist conventions, to present a one-day version of his evangelism training in Kentucky beginning July 18. The four regional sessions, called RESET Evangelism Strategy Training, will be offered in Bowling Green, Louisville, Paducah and Pikeville.

RESET takes participants on a journey of reconstruction—a process of breaking down what has or hasn’t worked in the past and moving forward to reach people with the gospel in ways that match the gifts of an individual church.

“I try to help people build their own evangelism strategy out of who they are and where God has placed them,” said McCutcheon, whose teaching process focuses on not only making converts, but disciples.

RESET training is designed for church staff, deacons, directors of missions, church planters and lay leaders who have an interest in evangelism and a desire to reach more people through the local church.
